Mayim Bialik is buzzing in to host her first Jeopardy! specials. Today, ABC announced the full schedule for Jeopardy! National College Championship. The multi-night tournament will spotlight 36 students from 36 colleges and universities around the country as they go head-to-head for two weeks. Each of the winning students will receive a grand prize of $100,000.
Here’s the full tournament schedule:
Back in August, Bialik was announced as a co-host alongside former executive producer Mike Richards. At the time, Richards was tapped to host the main syndicated show while Bialik was set to host the specials. Richards soon stepped down from his roles as host and executive producer after reports of his alleged harassment and discrimination resurfaced alongside controversial comments about several marginalized communities.
Bialik took over as guest host after Jennings stepped down in August. Since November 5, she and Jeopardy! icon Ken Jennings have shared guest-hosting duties through the end of 2021.
“The complexity of these situations is not something that can be summed up easily,” Bialik said in a September tell-all piece for Newsweek. “My first response, when all of this went down, was to say to the Jeopardy! team: ‘How can I help?’ Because I am part of this family.”
Jeopardy! National College Championship premieres Tuesday, February 8 at 9/8c on ABC.
