Cameron Diaz, Charlize Theron, Transformers Get 2015 Razzie Noms
Pfffft! The day before the much-anticipated Oscar nominations, it's time to give some of the less critically acclaimed movies of 2014 some attention — and Transformers: Age of Extinction tops the 2015 Razzie Awards nomination list of big screen disasters of the year!
With an impressive seven nominations, including Worst Picture, Worst Screenplay, and Worst Director for Michael Bay, only leading actor Mark Wahlberg avoided career assassination by skipping a nom for this year's awards (Kelsey Grammer and Nicola Peltz didn't get so lucky!)
Close behind Transformers come Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas and The Legend of Hercules, with six nominations apiece. But while Kirk Cameron and His Ego get a special nod in the Worst Screen Combo category, it's Cameron Diaz who gets an impressively long list of personal noms — fighting off contenders like Charlize Theron and Megan Fox in a battle for Worst Actress (The Other Woman and Sex Tape), Worst Supporting Actress (Annie) and Worst Screen Combo (Sex Tape with Jason Segel).
Razzie organizers thought the 35th annual awards deserved something new for 2015, giving actual kudos to Ben Affleck and Jennifer Aniston (among others) for turning things around with genuinely decent movies this year.
